Let me guess you're a seahawks fan, just kidding. I watched some of the game and I did see a few shady calls, personally I was expecting the seahawks to win.
Funny, I thought the exact same thing. It wasn't the seahawks vs. the steelers so much as it was the seahawks vs. the reff''s. I've never seen such consistent ridiculousness.
Well I live in Washington, but I'm not really a football fan. I only watch one game a year and that's the Super Bowl. It just seemed like there were a lot of flags thrown against seattle and some of the calls seemed pretty bogus. Like the "push-off?" Or the "below the knee tackle" when Hasslebeck fell in front of the runner?
Good thing the refs made that touchdown early on, or they would've had to push that fumble when the QB got brought down. Interesting when the announcers miss a beat, calling a clear playback.
Oh, almost forgot about the half time show. Poor Mick, sometimes lipsyncing the words is a good thing.
The Seahawks had every opportunity to win this game. This was the best group of refs in the NFL. Pittsburgh had one of the greatest runs in playoff history. They did deserve this game. And, I hate the Steelers, almost as much as I hate the Pats.
This was only the first game of the year I planned on watching from start to end. I left with about 8 minutes to go. I was once a huge pro football fan. I stopped being such a fan when the players started moving from team to team and when the refs started deciding who wins. I thought it would be cool if Seattle won since they had never been there, however, the refs thought otherwise. I'll stick with college football.
Or maybe you stopped watching when the Texans came to town. Must suck to have to play Indy twice a year.
I'm just messin with ya. I didn't agree with the rushing TD by Big Ben. The ball didn't break the plane before he was down. But, Hasselbeck got lucky on that fumble, too. The calls can go both ways. And, yes, there was one holding call, and one push off call that I didn't agree with that went against the Hawks.
I was more dissapointed that they didn't have any new Ted Ferguson: Bud Light Daredevil commercials. Those are great!

You wanna see redicuousness, just watch a rerun of the steelers versus the refs three weeks ago in INDY.The NFL tried everything to make the steelers lose that one.
I agree the NFL commission is shady and nfl games just looks like another rigged boxing match flop or the new mob in las vegas.
In fact I used to think the UFC(ultimate fighting championship) was the real deal but recently I've noticed some flopping going on and the fighters using their hands and eyes and,etc to tell their opponent what role acting will be performed next during their fight.
You know infact today hasselbeck was called down because both his elbows touched but three weeks ago steelers player the hawiaan guy caught the ball and the ball never hit the ground then he rolled out and made a second position and the refs called it an incomplete catch;yea the refs are trying to control the games .It was three weeks ago and it happened tonight too.I was happy for the steelers coach though. He just loves football period without the money he still has the heart of a football warrior.
It used to be when your team lost you heard "we tried" or "we suck". Now all you hear is "the refs gave it away".
Real simple. For the Seahawks:
-You missed 2 FG
-You have a WR that doesn't know the difference between green turf and white turf.
-Because of his colorblindness you lost out on a deep pass and a TD.
-The pushoff was real
-The football crossed theplane of the gaol line as Ben was coming down just before he got hit mid-air
-If the previous is incorrect, the ball is now on the 1-inch line, and Pittsburgh has at least one more play to get it in. Either way, it's a TD.
-Hasselbeck got away with a fumble. The Pittsburgh player did not cause a tackle. He was on the way down. He wasn't "down by contact", it was a fumble, but the so-called "fixed refs" screwed that one up, right?
-Falling for a trick play like the A.R.E. to Ward TD pass? You deserve to lose at that point.
can't we have just one playoffs in one sport where not everybody comes up with some sort of conspiracy theory? Calls get screwed up in every sport in every game but yet you don't see people making posts after every game ever played do you? Look everybody makes mistakes even the players. Yes there were some bad calls by the refs but they're only human you know. But there were also some bad calls made by the players and by the coaches. Why don't you start ripping on them for that too. Just my opinion is all!
It funny how some folks immediately ***ume you're a fan of the losing team just because you point out the ref's were making shady calls.
Really, this summed it up for me:

The only thing I'm really bummed about is the fight last night and Randy Coutre retiring.
