I'm in the middle of rebuilding this truck from the ground up. So far I have the cab done except the doors was wondering if anybody out there has bought the replacement doors from Lmc ? if so how are they? So far the truck is coming togeter great I dont want to put some jap junk on it that wont fit right the doors that came with it are fixable but id rather have nice clean lines on it im not perfect with bondo Ive also thought about changeing the power steering system the current one is the biggest mess ford ever made any info would be helpfull

Im wondering the same thing about LMC the doors are jap but still expensive (150 dollars), I'm going to call Ford about doors and front fenders for my 75 Highboy, I mean I think I can probably get a door from the Ford dealer for about the same price and not pay a 80 dollar truck freight charge, and still get a better product

Now gosh dang it!,
It may be my luck but i have found good used doors.If i were you(from experience)I would hunt for good doors till you find them.
I have bought repro cab corners and fenders from LMC and the things were crap.
The fenders were dead on the money for the outside skin,but the jams were bad.Ofcourse this could be my truck but the cab corners were Jap and and Junk!,This was for a '70 and they did not confirm to the factory contours at all,so what good are they?
If you find perfect doors,you know they will fit.But it's up to you and I guess being i never bought those door shells i wouldn't know but based on other stuff,look for orig stuff till you can hold out no longer.

Well I called my Ford dealer after my lasy post and tried to get prices on fenders doors and a hood, and the doors and hood are discontinued and the fenders are 255 each, Kinda sux they stopped producing parts for the vehicles they sold, oh well bring on the cheap jap parts

thanks for the input figures ford would disscontuie parts for the best trucks they ever built ill probly try and save the doors i have also if any of you live in the south how about locating a box in good shape?

look in them auto buyer type magazine, they usually have ads for places that sell rust free cabs and boxes, i found one in Iowa that im going to go to, I live in WI so it aint that far, they go down south find the parts and truck them back and charge people 3 times what they paid for them, what a racket, good luck
