i have a '74 supercab f100 w/ a 360. it has ps, pb, ac, 3 spd auto and the body is in excelent shape for it's age. the vin sticker has a date of 6/74 and as best as i can tell the serial number is 81102. i was recently told this is a "rare" truck. supercabs were introduced in '74 and not many are left. i got it from behind a barn for a great price, had the tranny rebuilt, and the engine (though not very well, shame on me). since it has just got me to my hunting spot and back. it has started to have it's little failures and i was considering selling it and getting something more reliable. questions: is this a "rare" truck? should i sell it or spend the bucks for a restorarion? any help out there? any opinions would be welcome. da
It depends if it is alb or sb, I had a sb that needed a little more work then I could do right now so I traded it for another truck. They are still somewhat rare, mine had the jump seats in it instead of the bench and my was a Ranger. If the body is in good shape I would keep it, if mine was in a little better shape I might have. I still wish I had her but oh well!!!

Keep it and Fix it. I still Rue the Day I let my 78 F-150 go. It was only a little troublesome once in awhile, and fixed very easily.
It's Rare, but not expecially valuable. Just a Good looking, Reliable, Useful old truck.
Speed aint all that important, there were Snails on board the Ark, along with the Cheetas!
I saw a '70 model on a car lot that was a supercab(four door). It was a f250 custom cab with the full bench across the back. It had a short bed with a tool box mounted between the cab and the bet. The tool box had the same body styling as the truck so I don't know if it was original or not. Looked cool anyway!
