hello all , i have a 76' F150 and i am fed up with the mirror that glues on the windshield . i would like one that bolts above the window . any ideas on where to get one ?
I drilled and countersunk a hole thru the "stick on" mounting tab on one vehicle and mounted the tab with a screw and some double sided foam tape to the header above the windshield. Check your angles and fit before you do it.
The stick on tabs work fine as long as both surfaces are clean. Cleanliness is the biggest problem with the tab not sticking to the glass.
I moved the mirror because I wanted it higher where it would not block my view of vehicles approaching from the right. This is a BIG problem for me in many vehicles because I am tall and the mirror blocks my line of sight which is very dangerous.
