What Oil?

What is the right kind of oil for my 79 351m?

10w40 is recommended for your engine. I prefer Motorcraft or Castrol myself. Also, I would only use a Motorcraft filter. They have the best anti-drainback valve in them.

10w40 is a good wieght for your 351m, if you have high mileage on the motor, and or tapping/knocking, you may want a slightly heavier oil.

valvoline 10w30 in the winter 10w40 in the summer. aalways run stp filters

dont fall for the fram and junk we cut a bunch of filters open in a garage i worked at
and stp and motocraft really filter better.
