Extending Tow mirrors on a 05' F-150 STX

Hello my 2005 F150 has the standard mirrors and I two a 27' fifth wheeler and want mirrors further out. Id rather not spend $300+ dollars on aftermarket ones. So im curious if anyone knows if the extendable mirrors that come on F250 and F350 trucks and from what year truck will bolt on to my truck.

I would prefer the mirrors to be manual extending but if they are not, does anyone know if on my STX it is pre-wired for powering the mirrors and locating the switch to extend them?

Thanks alot

~ Phil

The ford factory manual tow mirrors are only about $260 shipped, i just ordered some from Tasca Ford.

Part#'s Right-7L3Z-17682-BB
Left-7L3Z-17683-BB

They bolt right up, and if you have manual locks, windows, and mirrors already the door panels come super easy.

Hi Thanks, thats still expensive, ive got several auto junk yards nearby and if I know the year and model truck that mirrors will fit an 05' then I can pick them up cheap like $20. I found some of the info I was looking for in this thread.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...mirrors-2.html

Would like to also know if mirrors from the F250 and F350 series trucks will/wont fit as well.

Thanks

The mirrors from and 04-09 F150 i think will work, and that thread does show the wiring, but i dont think you can get a super duty set of mirrors that bolt up correctly to the F150, unless im missing something somewhere.

Ya, ive mulled around the idea of tow mirrors and pretty much researched all the options and it looks the best and cheapest route is ordering those ford ones from Tasca.
