If you haven't ordered already give some consideration to Redline MTL for the transfer case. It's thin enough to be used in transmissions that call for ATF, but with a little tougher protection.

Thanks Kwik but it's on order. I'll take a closer look at the MTL next time. This transfer case hasn't got much of a workout so far so I think the D4 will still be better than the factory stuff that's still in it.

The D4 will do just fine. Don't forget to check for little plastic chunks coming out of the drain hole.

Hey Dude....relax.....just wondering why u recommended the syn over what Ford
specs. Let's be alittle more civilized here. The Ford manual specifies Mercon.

Is that Smuckers strawberry jelly or can I use synthetic marmalade? I got a good deal on some at the clearance rack. Just curious. .....and of course, just kidding!
