Question dying 86b2

this weekend i had to replace my starter and starter relay and everything went fine...this is a 2.9 liter 4wd b2 with auto trans...then a few days later i started having this really wierd problem...the thing starts and runs fine but when i get to where i am going and i put the trans in park the engine dies...just as if i had turned the key off...when i try to restsrt it starts with no problem...hoping someone can help me with this....can't find any hints in the manual..thankz

Welcome to FTE!!!

I would start by pulling the codes and making sure you got all the connections back on tight and clean. I have the procedure for pulling the codes in the tech info thread at the top of this forum, "pulling eec-iv codes".
