86 E150 steering column diagram ?
Anybody have a breakdown for this. The ignition switch started getting sloppy all of a sudden & finally it stopped cranking the van. now it is locked in park & won't release. the electrical starting switch is ok because i removed it from the column & can start the engine with it., but the trans stays locked. at least it died in the driveway & not on the road. anybody have this happen before ?

Both Haynes and Childers have steering column diagrams for your van year. Both cover Vans from the 60s up through the 80s with good diagrams for what you are looking for. Both have "troubleshooting" hints to help as well.
My husband and I both have a set (bought one and was given the other) to keep in our own vans (83 E150 & 81 E100)
