I have a Predator for my 01 F150. There is a 0-50 adjustment for the Global line pressure for the tranny. It was set at 10 and I changed it to 20 but really didn't notice any difference. What exactly is it changing and how will it effect the tranny? Is it actually putting more pressure to the valvebody?
Also, are there any programs in the works to adjust part throttle shift points? My 1-2 shift is way to soon for me when taking off normal from a stop. It shifts before I ever get out of a corner to accelerate. Usually between 10 and 15 mph.
Thanks,
Jimmy
Its changing PSI of the line pressure through the value body which gives a firmer shift. It doesn't impact when the shift happens. The more throttle you give the firmer shift. I can't tell you what's in the works, only Diablo can answer that and they've gotten tight-lipped about future products and changes due to the competitive nature of the market.
I took it to 50, it firmed up a little more, not much difference though. I have the firmness set all of the way up on all gears, part throttle and WOT. I also have the torque modulation turned off.
