Does Anyone Make Solid Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves?

I'm getting ready to replace all the steering in my truck and found that Ford built my truck with the same style stamped tie rod adjusting sleeves that my 70 Mach 1 had. I never liked the things and replaced them with aftermarket solid adjusting sleeves made by Global West:

Does anyone make a similar device for our trucks? I no longer have access to a machine shop like I did back in the day so making my own is a no-go.

I'll be replacing these parts on my truck soon too, and might be interested in the same.

Most oval track and off road supply houses stock these in various sizes. Or buy the tubing and cut and tap to fit.

Most truck/car manufactures have been using the stamped ones for many years, never heard of any failing when properly installed. Probably billions of cars and trucks with them. Seems like a waste of money if you are not doing something competive or highly abusive with your truck, but hey its your money.

The Ole stamped sleeves don't really fail under normal use....BUT....we all know they cake with mud, grime, trap moisture, and are a wh0re to work with.

I've seen more seized solid sleeves than the split type. I did thousands of wheel alignments in my days as a tech.

I've never really had a problem with any sleeves on a street vehicle....maybe once or twice on a salty crusty hasn't been aligned for years sleeve. I've always had trouble with stamped on stuff that sees mud.

What'd your signature used to say?

Another problem with solid is the way the tie rods twist during normal driving it can break the jam nut loose, then the threads wear and can strip out.

Hmm. Maybe I'll stick with the stock type.
