first year for the 460?

first year for the 460?
can anyone tell me what was the first year Ford (or Lincoln) made the 460 motor? Also after reading a post on identifying ford numbers the heads in my truck are C9VE-A . Does this mean that thery 1969? the only numbers on the intake are SQ28? Will have to dig in more to get the block #. Thanks Bob

Generally speaking, the C9VE-A heads were introduced beginning with the '69 model year vehicles...includes engineering revisions to the '68 casting.
