Electrical Problems
Hi there,
Lately, I'm having compounded problems with the electrical system on my truck and I can't say if it's all connected! "Door Ajar" light stays illuminated on the dash but I know from previous posts that this may be a faulty door switch that needs to be replaced. Next, the Dome light inside the truck stays illuminated for a longer period of time than normal: takes maybe 10 minutes to switch off even when I'm driving. Is this related to the door switch?
The latest problem is the anti theft alarm blows off the horn for hours on end...The battery that runs thie horn is almost out of power because the anti-theft horn sounds like a sick fog-horn.
Anybody else experienced this problem? Is there a simple fix or do I need brain-surgeon?

My door ajar light is always lit up. I am going to spray some WD-40 on the switches to see if it goes away. I am also having a problem with my interior lights. The only problem is that I can't get mine to come on when I open the doors. They do work if I turn them on manually but they don't automatically turn on. Anyone having a problem with this?? Also, I have checked all the fuses and they are all good so I don't know what the problem is.

All the above problems are related to the door switches, anti theft going nuts because it thinks the door is being opened. Light wont turn on with door because it thinks the door has been left open, however, it should turn back on when you turn the key on. Is the door ajar light on when you turn the key on?
