Get a wide scraper and heat the area that you want to cut to soften the bondo then scrape it off.It will catch fire easily and stink pretty bad but it will work .
True, but this vehicle probably had around 5 lbs of the stuff and it was in alot of creases, as it was in a wreck before I owned it now I'm paying the price.
Well the torch did the trick, Its down to bare metal where it needs to be, FINALLY.
Now another question, what do I need to do to seperate the body from the inner fender? It seems to be spot welded, I'm not too concerned about this pannel but I will be when I get to the donner vehicle.
If your're not concerned about the fender, then keep going with the torch. But they make spot weld bits for drilling them out. Cheapes place I know of is Harbor Freight.
I'm not too concerned about the sheet metal of the one I'm working at this time but I don't want to eat the inner fender on either car so I'm a little worried seeing as this is my first attempt at pannel replacement.
Watch using the torch, you could end up with a huge mess if you warp the metal. To remove the spot welds, use a spot weld cutter bit. If you don't take your time now, you will PAY later in extra work/cost!!
Got it all apart and theres some serious cancer from water leaking in so I'm having to replace part of the inner fender as well (which has me concerned about the other side).
