My boss took his truck (2006 F350 6.0) to the dealer because it was smoking They told him number 4 injector was weak, and we should start running fuel treatment( to boost the cetan) in our trucks because we needed to run premium diesle. My truck is a 2003 F350 6.0. Just was wondering what you all thought about this. He also recommended Cetan booster and power booster made by Ford ( Imagin that) I would think you couold buy something cheaper that would do the exact same thing.
depends winter or summer.............hot or cold.......................white is for cold, grey if for summer...............if where ur at doesnt get below 30 or so, stay with the grey ull be fine......but none the less use one of them................its very important
I would advise teatment of fuel. Diesel just isn't the same as it use to be. The sulfur levels are much lower, there for deceasing the lubracation of the fuel. If you know any old timers that ran diesel trucks they used to call it diesel oil. I believe next year 07 they will be taken even more sulfur out of the fuel. Treating the fuel helps replace some of these lubracates as well as other things. This will keep the pump and injectors lubed.
