What is highest EGT permitted...

...when the probe is in the manifold?

I have heard 1200-1400 degF as do not exceeds. What have you seen on transients (like WOT 1/4 mile) and steady state (pulling trailer up grade at 2500-3000 rpm heavy throttle)?

I just installed my EGT pyrometer and am curious what numbers I should be seeing.

mine stock with 4" exhaust puts out about 1000*F WOT that is the highest that it logged. With my Triple Dog on Extreme(Highest Setting) the highest I have logged is 1249*F

pre turbo, I did some 4WD launches this weekend and peaked around 1500*F but that was just a flash point the highest steady number was around 1250 - 1350
