I am interested in the April 24 sale with the 69 F350 but is along way to go for a F350 with no motor and it doesn`t look that great. Lot of neat auctions coming up.
The City of Regina has an auction usually on the first Saturday of the month for all the vehicles that got impounded and were never picked up.It is a good place to get parts cars as they all need inspections and you can't hear them running so they go cheap.I picked up an 87 Mustang at the last one for $130.
City police print in the paper vehicles that are going for action. Usually listed at seized vehicles. They are usually a small ad with the police crest in the ad.

True but the list is for vehicles going up for auction if not picked up in thirty days. To really track what is going up for sale each weekend I need to go to PBR the Friday before the sale and go thru the line up for the Sat. sale.
I'd be interested in knowing what some of these trucks end up going for? If anyone makes it out to these auctions please report on the prices. I like the 79 ranger XLT. I always hear about how good the truck are out west. Would it be safe to assume that this ole 79 is "NOT" riddled with rust based on your experience? Just wondering.
HAve any of you guys ever bought anything from the police auctions? I went there one time and the prices were really not what I expected. Seems when I went that alot of that "crap" was crap and went for way too much. Also schapansky has a cool sled auction today in tisdale I believe, sleds go for pretty cheap too!
In Regina the list of vehicles in usually in the Wednesday classifeds of the Leader-Post the week of the auction.I have bought a couple of cars, some tools and some car stereos. Most of the time the crap does go for more than it is worth, especially when you factor in that there is no guarantee anything electronic will work, but I find the cars and bikes usually go for pretty cheap.
TFC.... Older vehicles are getting quite rusty although maybe not quite as bad as Eastern vehicles but close. In the last 10/15 years alot of salt is being used. Worse yet there is alot of FREE potash waste laying around that is being used on some roads, It is many times more corrosive than salt. Not good for our old tin so I have to keep my older vehicles stored for the winter.
Truck prices can vary alot at auctions, if in good condition bring alot of money at times. As for finding a mint 79 ranger XLT it would have to be one that has been kept off the road in winter. Farm trucks used to see very little winter use, now most farm trucks are used alot in winter. I have a 69 F100 and a 71 F350 that are almost rust free which is getting rare now. (I always hear about how good the truck are out west. Would it be safe to assume that this ole 79 is "NOT" riddled with rust based on your experience?)Yes and no. That`s how it is out west, progess I guess TFC.
Preppyypro...Most of the time there is expensive junk a police auctions but bargins as well so alot of time can be wasted or bargins are missed. What are are the prices at Schapansky sales like?
If you guys are looking for some of the bigger trucks check out this auction. Auction
I'd be tempted to see what the old Ford SuperDuty trucks looked like.
Wow, what an auction with over 150 vehicles back to at least the 50`s.
Do you know anything at all about the sale 51 dueller, condition of items, ect? Day three isn`t even listed, just more old trucks, trailers and machinery with more sheds still to be gone thru!
I guess this is one sale I better skip as the old Super Duty Fords and the 83 4X4 Ford diesel would be interesting. Are you going to some of it?
Some of the sale items shuld go cheap as there is so much to be sold. The truck wrecker at Young should be able to stock up quite well if he is interested in stuff this old.
I don`t know of Vincent but I did meet someone that seemed to be with the truck wreckers at Young selling 5.0 Mustang parts at a Saskatoon swap meet. Sounded like he was into salvaging Mustangs also. Do you know anything about the Young truck wreckers? I have never been there yet, hope to this summer.
