ok guys i come to you wiht a question about a non-ford product (name of which i will not mention ). the exhaust system consists of a converter, resonator and muffler. the resonator has rusted completely in half and is in dire need of replacement or removal for good. my question is, how much difference does a resonator make? will it be noticeably louder w/o it? i'm wanting to redo the system from the cat-on back. anyways what do ya'll think? thanks
good, it's on a '90 honda accord (don't worry i still have my FE 390 to play with on weekends) from washington state and has rusted the exhaust away. luckily thats all thats rusted but i'm gonna mig weld the whole system myself with new pipes from advance. anyone else got any thoughts? thanks
well i fabbed up my own exhaust from pieces from advance auto off the shelf and man sh'es soooooo much quieter....it's much better w/o a resonator than with one that has holes all throughout it and it's almost in two pieces. for any other people wondering it doesn't make hardly any noise. very quiet and not worth the 100 dollars it can cost to get a new one. if you can make your own then do it! it came out beautifully...now i just gotta get a new muffler!thanks fellas
