Rattling Gear Shifter
Not too many responses from the Excursion crew.
01' Excursion 4x4 XLT 7.3L
The gear shift rattles as we go down the road. Loose while parked. I can place some downward pressure and most/all the rattleing subsides.
I'm thinking loose linkage in steering column.
This rattling is much more annoying than the rattling doors (should post another thread), lol.
Any thoughts, easy fix?

The lift lever tube is held to the steering column with 2 clamps & bushings, sometimes the bushings wear or even slide out of the clamp. If this is the case, you will have to drop the steering column and replace the bushings.
