I spent my R&R in Sydney, about 37 years ago...or close. Lots of great folks, but the guys.. they didn't care for us GI's down there hustling up on their ladies. I got a lot of "Thumbs up" signs from many of them. Ask F350 what that means. It's different than here.

One young lady I met, took me to her parents home, where we had a heck of a nice dinner of home cooked fried chicken. Man...they treated me like I was one of the family. ( I, of course, gave up any hope of getting "fresh" with this young lady after this dinner. Her dad was a giant of a man! ) But in any case, we had fun for a couple days, right before my R&R ended and back to 'Nam I went.

Glad to hear you are coming home, also. There's no place like home. It's like being a plant...you can't leave home, without leaving some roots behind.
