Also when the cam sensor that you ground down fails you will have to do the job all over again. Once the front cover is ground down it should be good for life.

Also Im totally lost on this cps thing. I was thinking it was a plug and play thing, I was going to get one, but now Im leaning toward a black one just to be on the safe side. I dont know about cutting and all that stuff

on your back with a 10mm socket and sometimes a screwdriver to pop it out easier. My first one ran great for almost 3 weeks.
"Who sees your reputation?"
Not sure.... probably the administrators...in case someone does some bad posting?

I posted a good picture of this CPS on the IHC "Blue" CPS thread.

I was at International Truck Parts Dept. today and I looked at the two CPS side by side.
The T466 Blue comes with 2 round brass shim washers and one extra O-Ring with an instruction sheet on the installation.
The one for the T444 # 1876736C91 came in the International box with no shims or the extra O-Ring and no instruction sheet for the install. The Shims are very thin brass and must do something. But why don't they sell them all with the shims? The color of the T444 unit is a very dark blue with the purple O-Ring. It almost looks black in low light.
So when I talked to the Techs at International they said they would need to set the gap and adjust the CPS install. It's 100.00 minimum charge per hour.
But, if the tech at Ford just slaps it in and does not measure any gap, you get a new unit improperly installed. They should check the air gap on your cam sensors. .025 - .030 is the spec. The Tech just slaps in the new one in 2 minutes and that's it.
I believe many problems are improper installs, no shims or gap testing.
At least at the Assembly line they did it right.
