Any 460 block you can get your hands on. On the 460ford.com forum the guys their had a block summit, they sonic tested over 25 different blocks and found that no one block had an advantage over other. Some guys like the D9TE out of 80 and up trucks because the cylinder walls are .25 inch longer, to give better piston support at the bottom of the stroke. The majority of these blocks will take .080 overbore, but should be sonic test to be safe. Many people are making over 800hp with these blocks
here is the web page that Dave McClain put up for info on that block summit, it was actually 36 blocks checked and this page lists the differences of the different castings of blocks but the wall thickness really didn't show any patterns for years. If you click on the link at the bottom of that page it will come up with all the test sheets for all the blocks so you can see that info for yourself. I am running the D9TE block on my stroker for the exact reason CD stated the longer cyl walls work a little better for stability. (my block is picture #3 of the test sheets if your interested) but other than that I would say use whatever block you happen to have because they will all work.
