Question Wiper blades

I recently replaced my wore out wiper blades with Triple Edge blades, and they suck! They wipe almost as bad as my wore out blades.I cleaned my windshield hoping that would help but did not. What blades are ya'll using out there?

I haven't had to replace the blades on my current truck yet, but have always been happy with plain old ANCO wiper blades.

I didn't replace my wiper blades. I simply replaced the rubber inserts and they work great, didn't cost much and only took a couple of minutes.

I get Bosch (MicroEdge..I think) from Autozone/Advance Auto and they work well.

Also, when they get dirty I put some laquer thinner on a rag and wipe the blades and they go back to near new. You will be amazed at the amount of black and dirt that comes off.

I've used a Michelin and Rain-X. Both were good.

I always clean my wiper blades with rubbing alcohol, it keeps them clean and does not damage anything. If you still see streaks then the wipers need to be replaced.

My dad use to clean his with alcohol too.I tried that on them but they still streak.Guess i'll try some ANCO brand.BTW,I contacted Triple Edge. They said they will send a new pair to me if I send the old ones to them.If I did that postage would cost more then the blades......

Nothing wrong with good ol' Anco's. They do the job, cheap, and you can find them everywhere, even Wal-Mart. Here in Florida blades only last a year or so anyway with the heat, humidity, and our rainy season, so it makes no sense to spend more on a disposable part.

I buy Bosch too, for my stuff. My work truck gets crap that the company will buy. Wipe your blades with a DRY paper towel after a couple of weeks.... You will be amazed at the amount of black and dirt that comes off. And save the cost of the laquer thinner.

Bosch Icons, Anco Contours or any of the newer style, frameless wipers.

I buy the cheapest wipers possible at autozone, and haven't had bad luck with them yet (dont know specific brand) although i usually replace them every 6 months.
