Hey Dorf, I was recomending a larger generator like in the Honda line for your application for a single unit. True your 46 pounder is great like a wow how did they make them so light? MultiQuips 195# ( hand start as electric is 205#)Yes the MultiQuips all you said about all the bad things plus in a campground neighbors would string you or me up. Where I go on the ranch (314 acres) we fire off a cannons and go shooting so noise isn't a problem. I paid $250 for it ( 2 years old) from a contractor friend who retired, I needed portable (two man) power for a 5 hp water pump to support cattle as well the 251 Mig welder. If and when we as a group we go camping we trailer a 1,100# BBQ and camp miles away from people then raise hell. Different applications require different generators. I had a 1000 watt honda that someone liked better than me, we used it to run the rotisserie on a 55 gallon drum BBQ, radio and lights when in city and state parks. BTW, nice rig ya got go out and enjoy.

You got that Multiquip for a steal.
I can't lift a lot of weight so I had to go with the Hondas. Last year though I bought a few of those Chinese 3,000 watt generators and at 100 lbs they did me in and I sold all of them.
Sounds like you've got it going on out there on that 300+ acres, a good time I bet.
All of the pictures that I posted before aren't mine.
At work we had two Chinese Diesel generators 5 KW each, they both failed within a year and parts, good luck. The ranch belongs to the inlaws not me (dang it) but it's a place to just get away from it all. It's out of Livermore Ca. 45 miles from the house. I had a Olson & Rice powered 300 watt generator, your basic weed wacker powered two cycle toy.

One thing about the Chinese 3500w units is the price, $299. I made a mistake earlier and stated they were 3000w, my bad.
Inlaws eh? That's a good reason to stay on good terms with the old lady. 45 miles for you is 2,750 miles for me.
Those 2 strokers are good for killing skeeters. A friend of mine had one of those...it went down with his 25ft sailboat when it sank in the ocean 20 miles off Jacksonville, Fl.
"sank in the ocean" isn't that what happens to them one way aircraft after a drug drop down your way? You get in any lap times during bike week in Daytona? Yes the ranch, I help out alot so I can go there when I want. The inlaws have been friends of the family for over 60 years so i'm in good.

Wasn't in Daytona, was at the Sun N Fun flyin in Lakeland, Fl. Ran the generators for 7 days straight, pretty hot during the day. We went for a ride in a Bell Jetranger chopper and I had to sit in the back since it was her birthday. Hopefully we'll get back down there this year too. It's in April.
I see, your into aviation I still have my A & P license but got out of the aviation years ago working for airlines, then back to piston pounding 1830/ 2800 Pratt motors. Some day i'll get to the EAA fly in Oshkosh. Back in the 70's when the Chevron tankers crashed each other off the Golden Gate bridge we were out taking water spill samples twice a day in a Jet Ranger. I was in the copilot seat, friend the pilot he let me (try) to fly the eggbeater, hand eye, brain control overload. Copilot in Otis Spunkmieyer's (spelling?) DC-3 now that was easy and slow, same in PT-17. I had a BD-5 kit once, two 1,710 Allison motors and now a 45" drone twin from WW II, yes a motor nut.
