634 pops up from time to time, either because the MLPS is intermittant, going bad, or the wiring connector hasn't been upgraded. Ford started selling an upgrade for the MLPS in Jan 95..it is an improved connector that keeps water off the connections. A new MLPS and connector( sold as a kit at the dealer) cost 100 dollars.
BTW the MLPS bolts to the side of your auto tranny and has the shift linkage going thru it.
