Cleaning it sometimes hemps but be prepared for replacement.
Reset the PCM after working on the IAC to force the computer into a relearn cycle. Pulling the PCM KAM fuse for 10 minutes will do it.

Funny, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about, try to find the iac and clean it, but when you cannot find one, you'll be replacing the throttle body because the truck has an electronic throttle body, which controls idle and throttle. Maybe he should check the throttle cable end play too!!!
