i'd stay with mineral oil. Since you won't know how any of the additives will react to the internal's.You might be able to get away with 70/90 syn. The real manual tranny's ie: not runnig tapper bearings need a thick oil to cling to the part's. not like the throw away crap the put in car's and truck's now. I mean come on automatic hydraulic tranny fluid in a manual. Make's you wonder if any of the automaker's give a damm about what they make and sell to the public.Other than making money.

synthetic isnt as thick as the old stuff newer boxes have tighter tollerances for syn or 10 30 oil the old boxes needed the thicker oil to fill the gap to keep it cool and lubercate
