i have a 94.5 f-450 and it has a DI 7.3L turbo. when running its leaking fuel into the crankcase, and also i can smell it in the coolent bottle.i checked under it and the bellhoseing is soaked with what i think is fuel. also the dipstick is leaking very badly. i also noticed on the back of the passenger side cyl. head(this side gets very wet going down the road) is leaking somthing between it and the block. what could be going on? could it be a blown head gasket?
It might be a blown headgasket, but I think it's more likely that you have multiple leaks.
If you disconnect the fuel return lines from the regulator assembly and pressurize the coolant degas bottle to 20 psi you will quickly tell if the injector cups are leaking. I would hazard a guess that the fuel pump is leaking causing the external mess.
If the injector cups are leaking you will see air bubbling out of the fuel return lines with the cooling system pressurized. It's very easy to see when they're leaking, and whichever line is leaking will tell you which head has the bad cup.
The pump is on the top of the block at the rear of the engine....kinda below/behind the turbo.
i forgot also here is a plce that sells the tools you will need. ih tools it toooools
hopefully jimkidd will see this.... i pmed him a guys name that sends the tools around for free all you do is pay shipping. and then ship them to next customer in need.
if he doesnt still have it let me know and i will try and dig it up in my pms.
good luck man.
