Front clip swap!

Has anyone swapped out there 80-86 front clip for a 92-96? I met a guy yesterday that has done three trucks. Do you have any details?pictures?

the swap is easy, but you need to swap everything. core support, inners fenders everything.

Can you use existing radiator? bumper brackets? doors?

I priced all the used parts today! $250 including the hood and bumper! not bad

Just remember, unless you change beds too, your wheel well openings will not match.

from 80-96 the difference is so close you cant tell without a tape measure.

Who cares about matching beds?

ive got a new style bed on my truck i would be willing to trade for a older style if anyone wants too. its kinda rough though, i have pictures of it in my gallery.

If you were closer, I would take you up on that. I have a clip swap planned in the near future, but the truck has a shortbed and I need a longbed. I'll probably just cut and swap the arch section.
