Electric brake control plug

I have a 2004 Regular cab, 4.6 2wd. The truck is pre-wired with a 4-pin connector at the rear bumber. Would it also be wired for the plug-n-play controllers such as the Prodigy? I see a grey plug under the dash, just at the edge of the plastic trim, but how would it be connected to the rear of the vehicle for a 7-pin plug I would have to add? Thanks.

I see the OBDII plug, but the grey plug is to the left of that. So is that it or do I not have a plug for the electric brake?

Right. So is that in fact the e-brake plug, and if so, where does it end at the rear of the truck for the trailer connection? Thanks.

Rear left frame under the bed just past the last cross piece of the frame. Your four pin should connect to this plug. Replace your four pin with tow package harness( 4 & 7 pin). There is also a ground strap secured by a screw. Since you have an 04 you should be able to get to it. The ground strap on the 05 and up secures on top of the frame under the bed.

I just went through the same situation with my 04'. Brake control plug is under the dash ready to go. Out back there are 2 pieces you need to buy from your dealer. 7 pin connector and wiring loom, plugs in up by the spare tire. I was givin the brake controller plug by a friend but bought the other 2 pieces for $77 from the dealer.
