tires for 18's

I am looking at getting another set of rims and tires for my 04. I was thinking about 18's and going with a little larger tire. But the only tires that I can find are the stock Goodyears, and also one size larger BFG A/T's. Is there a better spot to look?? Thanks guys

I went with 18 x 8.5" American Racing wheel and 33 x 12.50 Toyo MT's. They fit great!! The MT's are slightly noisier than the stock tires but look 100% better!!! Could have gone with the 35" tires but would have required the leveling kit.

Pitbull, do you have any sort of lift with the 33's? Do you have any pics? Thanks Paul

Toyo also makes an Open Country A/T in a 33x18 (325/65r18). That's what I've got on my truck with a leveling kit.

As far as selection goes for 18'' tires, it's very, very limited.

The BFG's will look very sharp, and won't screw up the mpg that much as they aren't that much taller.

However the $236 a tire via Sam's club makes the overall shock to the wallet is substantial.

Don't forget about Nitto Terra Grapplers ... or even Mud Grapplers. Some have gotten the 325's on stock (7.5") rims, but an aftermarket wheel will be wider anyway ... and fully capable of supporting them.

285/60R18 $184
325/60R18 $227
325/65R18 $249

I would not recommend putitng a tire larger than 285 on a stock 7.5" wheel.

I agree, way too much sidewall flexing going on with running sizes a lot larger than stock on the stock 7.5" rims
