Programmers for 4.0 SOHC

Hey guys, does anyone have experience with programmers for the 4L/6? I want to put a supercharger on my 02 Sport Trac in the summer months but want more go a little sooner. What kind of power increases can I expect for the six with only a programer? Is it worth the money or should i just wait for summer and really enjoy my 'charger?

I would say wait for the supercharger. The kit will come with one anyway, but it will tune your engine for the supercharger, that's all.
