Rear view camera
Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has installed a rear view camera system in their Expy. It is a feature I would find helpful just to add in backup saftey as it seem people despite the back up lights always like to walk behind my truck in parking lots.. and NO I don't want one of those little beepers.. I actually despise those things.. ! If so can you post some pics? my biggest issue is where you may have mounted the screen.

I had a rear view camera mounted in my '00 Excursion. It worked great. The monitor was mounted on the floor which kept the outside light off the screen and it worked super. I know you can't do that in the Expedition with the console. Have you thought about mounting it overhead and doubling as an electronic rear view mirror. Just a thought.

Nowadays with those cheap LCD 7" displays, (i've seen them for under 200$), hook one up to a RCA output camera http://www.123cctv.com/cctv/exterior-cctv-cameras.html , and bobs your uncle. Those displays come with versatile mounts for the dash, or roof, and after thinking about it, i'm interested myself. Check out the infrared camera on the link prov'd!
