Hey everybody. I'm looking for a chip and tuner combo for my 7.3. Which one is best? If you've got one, I'd like to know what you think of it. Like it? Was it worth the price? Anything you don't like about it? Anything you'd change?
If you have a chip, than a tuner is unnecessary. People (like me) bought a tuner because it's more of an all-around package that has some basic power tunes, and has the ability to do some diagnostic routines. A chip has way more refined power tunes, but doesn't have the ability for diagnostics. You have to pay twice (or more) as much for a good chip and some diagnostic software.
If you want diagnostics, Auto-Ingenuity gets some high praise here on FTE.
The best overall set up is the Edge Juice and Attitude in combination with the Edge Evolution programmer. Gets you shift on the fly power level changes, EGT defueling safety features and a full set of gauges that you need for any HP upgarde as well as tons of HP. It'll cost you a bit more overall, but the safety features and performance is worth it in the long run. Call us if you have any questions etc, by the way the Juice/Attitude will work with most any chip or programmer not just the Evolution.

Ditto on Kwiks advice....Autoenginuity software can be had at ITPdiesel.com
I'm just looking for the best power and driveability. I don't need the diagnostic tools - I have way too much money invested in scanners and scopes as it is.
