I have a bit too much sag in the truck when I have the travel trailer hooked up and the two quads in the bed. I have used the Firestone air bags in another truck but did not like the way it made the truck ride when the bags were used. This system seems like a good thing to me.
That looks like it might help a small truck, but that little spring probably won't do much for a SD. I would look into the add-on air bags by firestone. I like everything about them, but I would not want to stress the frame right above the axle like they do. I may install them with an additional sheet of fab'd steel that bolts the the upper 'bag bracket and then to the factory overload spring pad bracket frame holes. If you follow what i'm saying. I have the factory overload springs now - they hit and make noise when driving empty - the suspension has to sag a lot just to get them to contact the rubber when loaded - they squeek like crazy unless you slop grease on them when loaded.
I have the Roadmaster setup on my 1984 Bronco - I made a difference to that vehicle. Though I agree with mizzitch, I don't think it will make a difference to your SD.
