Heat Extractor issues.. (Photo's)

Here's some larger hi-res shots of the issues with my hood.. I kept them original so you could see in detail what I'm fighting with.. For awhile I thought maybe something in my engine bay was pushing it up.. I've checked everything and can't seem to find anything.. Maybe my Coolant Filter? I dont know..

Here is the original photo when it was first installed.. I don't have any as close up as the other but it looks as it's fine in that picture..

WOW!! I've never seen anything like that!! How thin is the hood?? Do you think it's a manufacturing flaw?? I definitely do.

Jeff does yours vibrate when your driving.. Can you notice a little like its bouncing?

I also found another photo of it when I first got it installed.. It looks fine in that picture.. Now I'm wondering what the hell.. In the old picture it wasn't pulled as close to the grill as it is now.. maybe that's what is causing it.. Looks like after work I'm gonna be pulling the tools out..

Just updated original post with link to the original photo...

Hey... Not vibration/movement at all. I was watching for it the next day on the highway, because my last ram air hood moved quite a bit.. not this one, though. I simply blamed the difference/amount of air getting in UNDER it as opposed to the ram air hood, but this one's rock solid.

It really looks to me the hood is just moving forward. Move it back and it should line back up. Does the other side look like that also?

My Keystone doesn't move or vibrated when driving (pinned the speedo past 100 a few times before).

Going to have to talk to my buddy about getting my 07 in his shop and fitting this hood.

I'm gonna unbolt everything and take the hood completely off.. lay it on the ground.. If it's bowed, it should show if I put it on the ground..

Question has anyone ever seen a need to use washers to raise the back of the hood up?

3 trucks ago I had to shim a hood I bought. Granted it was a POS hood that I ended up taking off because it cracked, but yes, I did have to shim a hood.

I also have a heat extractor, don't like the fitment either. It looks good from far away, but the fitment sucks. Not nearly as bad as that, though. On the right side, it is close to the fender both at the front and back, but in the middle it's about twice as far away from the fender. It pops on the left side when i open it up, and it doesnt match the grille/headlights AT ALL.

Wow! What brand is yours? Because the lines on my Keystone are excellent. In fact, 10X better then I ever expected.

It's not a keystone. Found a good deal on it on ebay and decided it was worth the risk, now it's not. Funny how that works.
