? for firefox users

I have searched and searched and I am sure the answer is simple but I just cant find it on my own. Yesterday, when I opened Firefox, I can only view in the middle part of the page, the top part has the url bar and all the icons and such, but the bottem part has a blank bar on the bottem, kind of like the bar you would get when we had redirected pages except with no ads. How can I get this off? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox to no avail. Thanks for any help/suggestions.

if you could get a screenshot, that would be good. I am on firefox on linux at work, and its a tad different from the windows version. I will look when i get home, thats what i use at home on windows too.

When you stated you uninstalled\re-installed, did you also delete folders? Without knowing the exact issue, quite possible you changed a setting that screwed things up.

Uninstall and then delete or rename:
program files\mozilla\firefox and
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

Now when you re-install it should be a "fresh" installation

For grins check the following...

go to Tools/Options/Web Features

Make sure the box for Load Images "For the originating website only" is UNchecked. The other box should be checked.

Thanks for the responses, I went ahead and uninstalled and deleted the program files folder and reinstalled and everything is cherry now. One more thing though, to do a screenshot, I tried cntrl prtscreen and just regular prtscreen and it wont paste into my photo editing program, I tried infranview and adobe. Any suggestions there?
