Question about rear ends.

Just wondering if anyone knows what gear ratio and type are in my 85 BII 4x4 XLT. (Front and rear)

Any suggestions for different ratios? I would like to lose a little speed and gain more torque. At 65, my tach is at 2000-2100 rpm. She is guttless as hell, and anything would help until I do my 302 swap.

You most likely have 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Get the axle code off the door.

As for gutless, search on my user name and find the threads about adjusting the cables under the gas pedal.

Yeah I did that about a year ago. The problem is that the computer is dead, and the power valve in the carb is shot.

I got all the parts for a duraspark, just no time to do it...LOL
