power steering dipstick

The dipstick was broken off my power steering pump cap. I bought another at a salvage yeard, but it came from a pile of pumps and not off a specific vehicle. Can someone please verify that the dipstick is only a couple of inches long please?

power steering dipstick is only two inches long no more no less
you can find that same dipstick on most fords .
