My 95's dash has a small problem. There is a black plastic ear or tab on the passenger side right next to the kick panel. It has cracked and is no longer connected. It was making a lot of noise, so I loosened it and moved the tab over. The noise is gone, but the dash still is just barely loose on the passenger side. It occassionally makes a small creaking noise. I would like to fix this, but don't really know where to start. Is there something like JB Weld that would work for plastic, or do I have to replace that under-dash bracket/support? Maybe I could somehow make a new one. Does anyone have any ideas or experienced this little delima before? I have a picture of what I am describing, but could not find a way to add it to this post.

If you email me your picture (through this forum) I can get a better idea but my suggestion is to use epoxy as the glue. I have been using this for about 5 years now and it will work on anything (unless the surface wasn't clean when you put it on). I use the 5 or 30 minute, works great.
I glued a magnet (used as a sensor for after market cruise control) on my drive shaft. I tried everything including JB Weld. That would hold for a summer. Once I tried epoxy and it held for 2 years.
My 93 had the same problem with the dash mounting point on the passenger side. I made a small steel angle bracket and bolted it in place and then with the dash at the proper level used self tappers to fasten to the kick panel steel post. Has been holding now for over threee years.
call the nearest dealership and get the official FoMoCo repair kit, part no. F4TZ-1504366-A I used it. 30 minutes and the dash was good as new. no more squeaks, and the pass. end stopped bouncing on gravel roads.

Thanks for all of the input. I was originally going to use epoxy. I actually bought a few things from the hardware store to do the angle bracket idea. However, if there is an official repair kit, I am going to give that a try first. I'll probably get that on Monday. What all is included in that? I bet it is a special order deal right? I hope its an inexpensive fix. Does it cost much?

You get a one, steel, double angle bracket, three pop rivets, and a set of installation instructions all in a box.
Yes they did have to order it and it cost $18.72 plus Tax for a total of 20.09 as of 11/04/05.
Took about two days to get it and with out this number they did not know what I saw talking about. Part # F4TZ-1504366-A
How much did you order the repair kit from Ford for? The passenger side on my 94 bounces and cracks all the time. Thanks for the solution. This site is great.

Sorry the post had changed since I last looked but thanks I will be ordering that this monday too. Hope they don't run out with all the people reading this.
I live in Southeastren PA and called my local dealer. For the repair kit, F4TZ-1504366-A they wanted $27.12 + tax and it had to be ordered. There is another dealer I order from that I found on the web that is in Kent, Washington. For the same part they wanted $13.48 + $7.50 shipping. Again I save by using them instead of buying local. I do recomend them and have no problems with ordering or receiving parts form them. www.1stfordparts.com/partscat.html. I am now waiting for the part.
