97 ford
I have a 97 F 150 with a 4.2 V6 with 71000 miles on it .I got it new in 97. It has been setting for about 3 weeks as I was out of town . I have read about the intake gasket leaking coolant into the motor. Well looks like mine leaked into a cyl . When I tried to start it up, looks as if I bent a rod & maybe more in the valve train.The motor knocks very bad .It was running fine before i left town. Looks as if its going to need a new motor put in
My ? is should ford replace the motor or am I going to have to foot the cost .
Is there a recall or is case by case. Do I have any recourse with this problem.
