When you post a problem and get advice on fixing it, please post back the results when its fixed. Many people here try to help and never know if they did. Plus, it helps the next guy diagnose his (or her) problem if they know the solution to their trucks symptums. Its probably just an ego thing, but we would like to know when our advice does some good for our fellow enthusiasts.
Absolutely, thats a good idear, but occasionally, the problem may not be resolved for sometime ie., dura-no-spark, etc. I've replied a few times on 3 month old posts (of mine) to give update.

PS: John Wilkerson, ever heard of MerleFest? Lost the motor in my twuck there on the way home to Maine in '98. Looked hard at a '72 F150-no rust-in Winston-Salem. Shoulda bought it. Know anyone named Dusty (hippie-redneck type), out of Charlotte, now near Bakersville? By the way, you all talk funny down there...
MerleFest is THE bluegrass festival to be at (if you like bluegrass). Its held in May at a college in Wilksboro NC just west of Winston-Salem. About 20,000 or so people attend this four day event. We went in '98 and it was a blast, except for the motor woes on the way home.

That would be the one. I remember sloppering over the old rust free Fords down there (and in VA) and I was bound and determined to buy one and drag it home. It would made the ride home easier. Should have, since we ended up buying a rather boring 87 Bronco to get home with. Flew back down a month or so later to rescue our 85 F250 with the overfueling fi 302 (fi & 302 went on the junk pile where it belongs-it now has 78 l-6 carb in it. Anyway, the wife and I are hoping to do MerlFest again in spring '01, Blue Ridge Pawkway, etc. We've got friends in Charlotte, Bakersville, and Ashland area that go each year.

Sometimes it's better to leave it to the armitures, and let the professional responders use what comes up. ;-)
I never got into grass enough to go to the festevals. Doc is a real NC icon, it sure was sad when he lost his second set of eyes. He and Merle were aweful close.

In the still cool hours of the night, you can hear chevys rusting away.
