I have been a member on this site for a few years now and have found alot of good informtion with alot of people I have met on here. I thought I would see if there were and John Deere tractor experts on here that could give me some advice with a tractor I am having issues with. Here is my problem. It is a john deere 2155 with shuttle shift. the tractor will not go forward. Reverse works very well just as it should but when i put it in forward the tractor will try to move but will not. I do not think it is either if the clutches since reverse works so well. I beleive my preoblem is in the directional control valve. First thing i did was check the hydraulic oil level in the trans and everything checked out there. The hydraulics all work great all the time just like the should. the linkages leading forthe directional control valve to the lever all seem to be tight and in good working order. Like I said, I believe the problem is in the directional control valve but I am looking for a little more advice before I just good buying and changing parts that will not solve my problem.
