If the MOBO was broken why can it read the 2 sticks totaling 352MB no problem ?

Has anyone dowloaded the manual to see what it says about the memory slots?

I have done exactly what is says has to be done.

I read the manual Dennis, you can only run 2 memory sticks, one type or the either. But it says you can use either socket, and it will work with 1 stick.

*his mobo supports 2 different types of memory, but not simultaneously.

That's correct Beeboy.
as you can see I am only trying running one type of memory ...SDRam.

The blurbly states the OS's I don't have.

Notes
Important information about your system
Memory configurations for Windows 95/98/ME with greater than 256MB, require adjusting the Vcache settings as outlined by Microsoft article Q108079.

I have XP Pro.

Here is what MSI says to use for upgrading memory to this MOBO..

I didn't even want to get into it. RAM and bus speeds are way over my head right now.

I just hope the main isn't crashed electrically.

Nope, They just said to bring the computer in at $65.00/hr

I told them the stick of 512 MB will be in Calgary tomorrow and I'll trade it for 2 sticks of 512MB DRR memory.
