I am putting a 351W in a 79 F100. I am looking for headers that will fit this application. The 302 in the truck now has headers and look like they have enough clearance to work on the 351 engine. I know the deck height and width of the engine are a bit bigger. Summit says the 302 headers will not work, and a set of special Hooker headers are over $400 for this application. Has anyone tried the 302 headers on this engine, and will they work, even with a little modification?

 

The driver side fit ok on mine but I had to trim the motor mount frame bracket on the passenger side.
