Replacing Door Locks?
When I bought my truck it had a "donor" door on it. The guy who installed it didn't change the lock over (it was a farm truck). I'm wondering how it is you go about changing the locks on the doors? I'd like to get a set of locks from another vehicle so they are all the same and swap them all.

You can prob pick them up depending on year and model of the truck at your local autoparts stores a pair. They are not much expensive, i remember i changed my past f150's door locks for new ones since they were bad.....

If you are carefull you don't even have to remove the door panel. I got a new set on line from LMC. you can even get the ignition key and tumbler with the door locks in a set if you shop around. There is a clip on the back of the door just inside the jam behind the lock, it slides out with a large screwdriver. Be carefull to protect the door when you pry it. then the lock should come out from the outside carefully remove the plastic clip [ you may have to lock or unlock the door to give you more access], and install the new one.
