I used a web site from Jeep that figured that if I have 33 in tires and a 3.5 gear ratio my rpm would be around 2100 at 60 mph. But my rpms are around 3000. Could my speedometer be off?

I get 2138 using the link below. Something is off for sure. If you did not recalibrate speedo for 33's it will be off. If you have a auotmatic too and the converter is not locking up (or it is a non lock up model) it will add about 200 to 300 RPM at that speed and RPM. Also your gearing is kinda tall for that tire size and will cause more converter "slippage" at cruise.
It is an automatic and the tranny (C6) and transfer is out of an 84 fullsize bronco. This is in a modified 64 4x4 with a 5 liter.
Is slippage something that can be fixed? How do you tell if you have a non lock up model?
Thanks.

C6 never had a locking converter and you are on the edge of thew stall speed of it at 60 MPH with current gearing making it a bit worse. Once output shaft from converter reach about 2500 RPM the slipage is less but never goes away completely. Actaully about a 3.91 or a 4.10 gear would help and would likely put speedo dead on to with 33's (or close to it) and reduce converter slipage at cruise.
