I posted in another thread the use of an auxiliary trans or multispeed tranfers. These can be an option, for someone that wants good fuel mileage and towing ability/crawling.
I am considering getting an 06 with the diesel but I put bigger tires and lift on all my trucks. If I could get a diesel with the 4.30's, I could probaly run a 35" inch tire and still be close to the same horsepower, where the tire meets the pavement, as the same truck with 3.73's. I have a V10 with the 3.73's and 35's and I believe that I really need to gear down now but I hate to come up with the cash to get it done right. So to make a long story short, I would like to get it with as low of a gear as I can from the factory.

technically, if you run a tire that is exactly 35" you would need a 3.93 gear to equal the ratio of the stuck truck with its 33.2" tires. 4.30 will be geared much lower then stock (which isn't neccesarily a bad thing)
