Cool truck! That beast looks unstopable. Is that 235 6cyl what came with the frame? What type of tranny does it have bolted to it?

I bought the truck this way and I really havent dug into it yet since I dont have any definite plans for it. Its really fun to show people and knowing its a one of a kind. I was told its the 235 truck motor. Its original and it is backed by an Allison automatic. Im not sure what model. It doesnt go very fast and theres a wobble in the front end at 45 mph (ball joints or unbalance wheels?) It has air assisted brakes and as it idles it makes a pssst sound every once in a while to release air pressure. The things I dont like is the guy that built it chopped the drive shaft that would run a winch, the back portion of the frame was cut off and a portion of Ford pickup frame was welded on, the two beds that were welded together arent the greatest and theres a lot of bondo at the bed splice. This is one truck Id never want to get stuck in the mud since I dont have anything bigger to pull it out.

I met a guy in northern Minnesota last summer with a '79 Bronco 6x6. It was on a trailer and was strictly a mud truck. Built 460. It turned out that I used to work with his two daughters in the Twin Cities. I was on a motorcycle at the time without a camera. He did a good job on the truck. Not many 6x6's out there.
