Very well done BFR250SD. You are a good poet and I always knew you had too many smarts to fall for the Diesel Dream. Just wish I would have learned about the V10 before I threw away a bunch of cash on a sick litre. You know the old saying, Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. Behind the rattle, smoke and mirrors lies the true Ford Superduty Miracle motor, the incredible V10. Two more cylinders and Too much fun.
Merry Christmas and thanks for starting my day with such a great post, Don.
Dam-n good job! This is what I like so much about reading and posting with the V-10 group here. Lots of positive and humorous energy flowing about. Some top notch posters too, who know how to communicate tech stuff. I hate to knock the d----l group, but I have spent the better part of a week reading posts about fluid leaks, rough idling, high fuel consumption, and There is lots of defensive, negative feedback up there. There are some who really taunt the posters with legit gripes. One post said he'd be glad to talk, just not on that board. Another poster even had posted home phone number pleading for someone to call him to provide help. I'd sure call the man if I knew of something to help, hel-, I'd post it on the board, but I never owned a d----l, so 'bout all I can offer him is a kind word or two. Even the web boss Tim L. got tangled with one griper and shut him down. Those are some tuff cookies up there for sure. I'd hate to rattle their cages with a gripe, much less a poem!
I hope you don't mind I copied your poem to file!
Merry Christmas!
That's okay! If all it takes is someone talking bad about your motor to rattle your cage, I think ya may have other, ahem, issues.
I don't get to post any real meaningful info here in the V10 forum, cause it just runs so smooth, that I never have any issues with it. The only thing I'd ever be able to add is, "Wow, my truck ran great today!", then tomorrow I write, "Wow, my truck ran great today!", etc, etc.
So I just stick to a little humor now and then. I would NEVER even consider stirring the pot.

I know were your coming from I just serviced my work truck with 93K on the clock had it running to check the ATF and was thinking to myself what a sweet running motor.
BFR250SD -- Well said! What a GREAT poem for a GREAT engine. My V10 is smooth as silk...and a great (for the most part) un-recognized "sleeper" FORD engine.
